Pretty much obsessed with these two and their evening of capturing their engagement session in La Jolla, CA.

Lindsay wanted something that was totally “them”. They drank wine while playing backgammon at home, they played on the streets of La Jolla and snuggled at Winandsea beach with fabulous light. They are an insanely beautiful, madly in love couple and I get to capture their love all over again this weekend at Leoness Cellars! And, so stoked to work with the talented Jennifer at Amore Events!

Congrats Lindsay + Jake. I am so lucky to know you two and I couldn’t be happier for you!

Tatum + Bryan might as well be the sweetest & most gorgeous couple on earth. They are as humble as they come, down-to-earth & madly in love. I know that I hit the jackpot in the client-department with them.

When I heard that Tatum + Bryan’s wedding was going to be “Anthropologie-inspired”, and at The Lodge Torrey Pines, I jumped for joy. Keli Christensen from Monarch Weddings nailed her elegant and romantic design that complemented The Lodge at Torrey Pines’ rustic & craftsmen palette. Every detail was so perfectly planned, it looked like a luxurious wedding-heaven.

Tatum & Bryan, thank you for the honor of photographing your wedding and for treating us so warmly as if we were one of your guests. Your day was beyond perfect and I wish you nothing but the best. Big love to you both! Xo, Patty

Monarch Weddings design inspiration: ” Tatum is a natural beauty with a great sense of style. Her wedding dress and design aesthetic reflected this. She wanted to create a vintage eclectic look & feel, while incorporating the Lodge’s rustic charm and of course a touch of feminine elegance. The design direction definitely had an “ode-to-the-Anthropologie style” which was a perfect fit for her fashion style. We used a neutral color palette with ivory, grey, cream & champagne tones. Then I brought in touches of elegance with gold elements – from her Gold Foil printed invitations, to the gold charger plates to the mercury gold votives & floral vessels. The wedding flowers were a deconstructed look; very loose & organic feeling. To continue this rustic Anthropologie – style, we brought in beautiful farm tables where we put an eclectic mix of floral pieces & mixed knick-nacks (i.e. magnifying glass, clocks or rock geode amethyst stones).

The best part about creating the ‘Best of Wedding” blog post is that I literally just re-lived EACH wedding that I had the honor of photographing this past year. I say it before-and-after each wedding, and I will say it again… I am THANKFUL. Thankful because on my drive home from each wedding, I always pinch myself because This. Is. My. Job. And it doesn’t feel like one. I dreamed for years of starting my own business, and I am so thankful that I took a leap-of-faith. It’s been thriving because each of you believed in me. Steve + Katie | Circle Oak Ranch Wedding in Fallbrook

Circle Oak Ranch Weddings in Fallbrook has by far blown me away as one of San Diego’s most beautiful outdoor wedding locations. Add a sweet, gorgeous bride and groom that are INSANELY in LOVE, stunning details, a farm-to-table Gastrotruck, impeccable wedding planning + design and an intimate guest list and you have yourself stellar wedding. It was so beautiful that I almost forgot that it was 104 degrees out (all outdoors) and for the next 24 hours I would be bed-bound with extreme dehydration. Yes, It was that beautiful, and so well worth it.

Katie and Steve shared a first look that was very touching. I’m not sure they knew this but Katie’s bridesmaids were watching from a nearby window. It was too cute! They exchanged vows under a huge, shaded oak tree & had cocktail hour under a ton of market lights.

Circle Oak Ranch boasts 13 acres of oak trees, an expansive meadow, an old Chevrolet flatbed truck on the wedding path to the oak tree, a Ford farm tractor and an orchard with nostalgic white fencing around it. I’d love to see this place in the springtime!

The evening had a sweet surprise from the groom, where he and his niece serenaded Katie with a song that Steve wrote. The rest of their evening included dancing under the stars, s’mores, and a donut bar that would make anyone without a sweet-tooth want one.
